4.1.3. Pulse & Memshow

These little programs provide information about the system state.

Memshow displays the amount of free memory available on a transputer and the largest consecutive block of free memory together with an estimate of the processor's load. The value is 100% if one process runs continuously without communication latencies.

Memshow monitors can be placed on any node, memshow(all) starts one on every node.

The Pulse program displays the same load value as memshow, but wraps it into a little histogram on a graphics window.
